When you decide to sell your home in Austin, there
are some things you should know about the sales process. If you've sold
a home before, then you may already know some of the steps, but don't
be surprised if we do things a little differently than your average
real estate agent!
First thing you should expect when you decide to sell your home is
that the real estate agent or Realtor (don't know the difference? -

here!) that you have chosen will come to personally inspect your
home.
The point of this inspection is not to tell you what is structurally
wrong with your home, but to evaluate it's conditon and help you arrive
at a fair price based on what other comperable homes in the area have
gotten as a sales price. *Don't be fooled by the asking price on your
neighbor's home - it's the sales price that really counts! Read our

Once you've signed a Listing Agreement with the Realtor you've chosen,
they will then enter your home in the Mulitple Listing System so that
the other area Realtors can see that your home's available for sale
and how to go about showing it to their prospective buyers. Your Realtor
may also hold open houses for the public, run ads and offer tours to
other agents to show off your home. Each real estate professional has
their own way of doing things, but these are very common marketing techniques.
Once a Realtor has a buyer for your home, they will submit an offer
to purchase to your Realtor who will then present the offer to you.
This is where the Realtor really earns their money!! To help you evaluate
the offer, they will make suggestions to you based on their knowledge
of current sales prices in the area, other homes on the market and current
market conditions.
Once the contract is signed, all that's left are inspections and closing!
Your Realtor can oversee all of these things for you so that you don't
have to worry about a thing.
